Anger Management

Anger Management

We all face anger issues, whether it is due to work stress, unnecessary expectations and many more things. It is very important to handle this in a very mature way and move ahead . It is very important to take it lightly and in a positive way

Anger is a common and even healthy emotion. As we say anything excess is harmful, similarly excess anger is no good for health. The long term physical effects of uncontrollable anger includes increased anxiety ,high blood pressure and headache. It is also responsible for some hormonal imbalances. Anger triggers the body's “fight or flight” response. Other emotions that trigger this response include fear, excitement and anxiety. The adrenal glands flood the body with stress hormones such as adrenaline ,noradrenaline and cortisol.

Some techniques for anger management

-Breathe deeply, from your diaphragm; breathing from your chest won’t relax you.
-Use imagery; visualise a relaxing experience, from either your memory or your imagination.
-Cognitive restructuring-Angry people tend to curse, swear, or speak in highly colourful terms that reflect their inner thoughts. When you’re angry, your thinking can get very exaggerated and overly dramatic. Try replacing these thoughts with more rational ones
Problem solving- By not stressing out too much on finding the solution but rather on how you solve the problem.
-Better communication
-Using humour
-Changing your environment
-Meditation
